This impressive range of leading employers will be offering exciting career opportunities across all disciplines for the thousands of experienced skilled professionals and graduates expected to visit the NEC, Birmingham for the largest engineering and construction recruitment event in the UK.
Although the national economy is not yet buoyant, the exhibition will feature challenging roles in the engineering and construction sector for those looking for work or their next step. The list of employers recruiting at the event reflects the fact that several major sectors of the engineering industry continue to expand. They include aerospace, defence, environment, energy, oil and gas, and electronics.
The exhibition also offers many valuable advisory services available to help visitors to develop their careers and gain advice on their job search. Experts within the Careers Advice Lounge will offer personalised advice on all aspects of finding the perfect job and how to promote yourself to prospective employers, and one-to-one consultations at the CV Clinic will give top tips on perfecting a winning CV. In addition, free half-hour group sessions within the Interview Clinic will give visitors individual and practical advice on how to approach an interview and invaluable tips on how to demonstrate the qualities recruiters are looking for.
There are also a wide variety of free presentations throughout both days of the exhibition, offering invaluable careers advice and information on opportunities at the UK’s leading engineering and construction companies. They provide advice on interview preparation, effective interview skills, selling yourself, how the application process works for recruiters, what the company culture is like and how to get your CV to the top of the pile!
For university final year students, the University Challenge gives teams across the country the chance to compete against each other to design, build and test their inventions in a challenging task to win a prize of £750*.
