Job opportunities with planes, trains and buses

Research has revealed that young people who want to develop a career should look to employers who operate planes, trains and buses as this industry seeks to recruit 182,500 people by 2020.
The good news comes from a research report by sector skills council People 1st, which highlights that growth in the aviation, bus and coach, rail, taxi and private hire, and travel industries is creating a record number of jobs for school leavers and graduates.
Brian Wisdom, chief executive at People 1st, said that people entering the industry in the next eight years will have will have the potential to build strong careers that offer great learning opportunities and excellent salary prospects.
"The average salary of a person working in the passenger transport and travel sector is £35,661, with some jobs earning an average of £79,471. This is fantastic news for people that are looking for a career that will offer a great chance to learn and good salaries.
"Whether you’re interested in becoming a train driver, managing a team or looking after an organisation’s social media accounts, there really is a career path for everyone in all different industries that involve passenger transport.”
